As a child, I intended to be a storyteller in the forms of films/TV, comics and/or books. When I was ten, my comic strip was published each week in the Asbury Park Sunday Press. I was profiled in the “National Enquirer” and was a guest on the TV show “To Tell The Truth” as the youngest professional cartoonist in America.
I first read Ayn Rand between ages 13 and 16, finding that she agreed with me almost completely, but she had figured out some things I hadn’t thought of yet.
I was a fan early on and continue to love the works of Walt Disney, Chuck Jones and Charles Schulz.
I made short films while attending NYU Film School. Since then, I have written articles, produced programs about music for QPTV in New York, and worked as a professional caricature artist at Walt Disney World.
My film footage is included in a documentary film entitled “Greetings From Asbury Park” (2007).
To see if I would enjoy doing it, I recently self-published my comic book, “Arena Comics”. I have written a spec TV pilot and am working on a spec screenplay. My podcast is at http://zigory.solidvox.com.
I’m also passionate about my time with my wife and children.
